1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Carer-Sync platform at www.carer-sync.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Carer-Sync.
• You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating your account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

3. User Roles

Carer-Sync has two user roles:

• Care Seeker — a family member or guardian seeking a caregiver for a patient. You are responsible for the accuracy of any patient information you enter.
• Caregiver — a professional caregiver offering services through the platform. You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile, qualifications, and availability.

4. Platform Use

You agree to use Carer-Sync only for its intended purpose — facilitating caregiver discovery and care coordination. You must not:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Use the platform to harass, threaten, or harm other users
• Attempt to access another user's account or data
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute platform content without permission

5. Caregiver Listings & Hiring

Carer-Sync provides a marketplace for care seekers and caregivers to connect. We do not:

• Employ, endorse, or certify any caregiver listed on the platform
• Guarantee the accuracy of caregiver-provided credentials or experience claims
• Mediate disputes between care seekers and caregivers

Care seekers are solely responsible for conducting their own due diligence — including verifying credentials, conducting interviews, and checking references — before hiring a caregiver.

6. Care Bot

The Carer-Sync Care Bot is powered by DeepSeek and is provided for informational and educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical concerns. Carer-Sync is not liable for any decisions made based on Care Bot responses.

7. Payments & Subscriptions

Carer-Sync offers subscription plans (Essentials, Plus, and Premium). By subscribing to a paid plan:

• You authorize Carer-Sync to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact support@carer-sync.com.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Carer-Sync platform — including the logo, design, and software — is the property of Carer-Sync. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

You retain ownership of any content you submit (e.g. your bio, care request listings). By submitting content, you grant Carer-Sync a non-exclusive licence to display it on the platform.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Philippine law, Carer-Sync and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to:

• Actions or omissions of any caregiver found through the platform
• Medical outcomes related to care provided
• Data loss or platform downtime

10. Termination

Carer-Sync reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms of Service. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@carer-sync.com.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of material changes via email or an in-app notice.
